With CTC 4 days away, you can feel the excitement building up for college basketball season to start up Friday night. I got an email today that listed the dunk contest as an event at CTC. I hope this is correct! Last year there was no dunk contest. As athletic as this team is this year, one would hope the dunk contest is back on.
Here is a video (link below) I pulled out of my vault that I shot of Kyrie Irving during the 2010 CTC Dunk Contest. He got the crowd going after this dunk. Even Coach K had to smile. If you look behind K on the bench you can see recruits (back then) Austin Rivers, Quinn Cook, and Amile Jefferson amazed by the dunk. One can't help but focus on judge Jay Williams as the dunk got him almost out of his chair.
If the dunk contest happens this year I think i will put my $ on Dre.
Check back in the days coming as I will post one of Andre Dawkins dunks that surprised the crowd from 2010.
