Last night Duke beat Georgia Tech in Cameron by a score of 72-66.  This was the first home game in over a week.  Last week took the Blue Devils on a 3 game away slate to St. Johns, Notre Dame, and Virginia.  Many fans were wondering how would Duke respond after an intense week of ups and downs.  The Duke defense still looks like a work in progress at this point.  But hey, an ugly win is still  a win.  Here's to hoping the next few weeks of ACC games helps Duke find a balance that works of using zone and man to man in their defense.  What do I think was the play of the game last night?  Well, that's an easy question.  The TEAM floor slap above was the play of the game.  Earlier in the game, a GT player slapped the floor at mid court as GT was making a comeback.  I then quickly thought to myself... "oh no he didn't"...  I was hoping to see a response from the Duke team.  A few minutes later, it happened.  The Duke team slapped the floor all at once.  That was the moment as Coach K always says "5 become 1".  I took a screen shot of the floor slap above and posted it to Twitter.  The screen shot then quickly spread through social media.  The Cameron Crazies picked up their intensity after the team floor slap.  You could just feel that Duke wasn't going to lose this game in the closing minutes.  The win last night gave Coach K another record.  He passed Dean Smith as having the most ACC Career Wins.  The pic below from Duke Blue Planet shows the top 3 coaches and number of ACC wins they have.  Last week Coach K hit the 1,000 wins mark.  So... what record is in store for next week?  Lol!  At this point, Coach K seems to have his foot on the gas pedal and doesn't seem to be slowing down anytime soon...and that is a great sign for Duke fans!
