As people are getting ready for the Thanksgiving Holiday, you see many people on social media sites posting about what they are thankful for.  As I scan the social media sites and message boards today, I see Duke fans worried and upset over the close Vermont game from Sunday.  The way I see it... Better to get exposed now on defense than later on.  We as Duke fans have been spoiled over the years and especially over the last few weeks.  Look at what we have to be thankful for (just these last few months alone)...

Duke Football is 1 win away from playing in the ACC Championship game.
Duke Football currently has a 9-2 record.
Duke Basketball currently has a 5-1 record heading to New York for rest of Preseason NIT Tourney.
Duke Basketball just finished off landing the #1 recruiting class with Jones, Okafor, and Winslow's commitments.

As we all get ready for the holiday coming up, us Duke fans should be thankful for what we have.  Yeah...Duke Basketball has issues they need to work on with their defense.  But I'm thankful it's happening now in November to give time for the staff to work on it vs. happening late February or March.

What is the most expensive ticket in sports? ... Duke Basketball
Check out the link below to get to the Forbes article that goes into detail how expensive Duke basketball tickets are.  "UNC game at Duke ticket has an average price of $1,700!"

I would know.  I just recently (last February) checked off my bucket list to attend the Duke vs. Unc game at Duke.  I saved for that game and looked at it as a mini vacation.  Needing only 1 ticket , I ended up with a front row ticket (upper level behind UNC bench).  I won't say the exact price it was, but I will say you  will need at least 10 Ben Franklins to even think about getting into that game. Count yourself lucky if you can find that ticket under a $1,000.  Since it was #1 on my Bucket List (see link below) I went all out for the experience.  I documented my trip with a short movie I made (see movie link below) of my experience in Kville and Cameron for that game using an iphone 5 and a basic Sony camera.  I also wrote an article for Duke Report (see Duke Report article link below) on my 1st experience at a Duke vs. Unc game.  It was definitely a life time experience that all Duke fans should "try" to experience.  With the proper planning and saving you can make it happen.

Duke battled a tough Kansas team last night in a loss of a score of  94-83 in Kansas favor.  The game was a lot closer than the score shows.  Some fans are worried and stressed out about the loss.  Me, I see this loss as an opportunity for Duke in that they can see their weaknesses early in the season and be able to work on them.  The Duke teams of the last few years have seemed to peak early and then find weaknesses later.  I would rather this Duke team get their weaknesses exposed early to be able to work on them during the season. Duke wasn't going to go undefeated.  The loss was a loss to a team that could easily make the Final 4.  Come to think of it... all 4 teams last night could easily be your Final 4 come late March.

Be sure to follow @DukeReport on Twitter for all the latest updates on Duke Basketball. I will be at the Florida Atlantic game Friday night giving updates/pics on the scene in Kville and Cameron on the @DukeReport Twitter feed.
