Head over to Duke Report www.dukereport.com to read my recent article on the K Academy. The K Academy is camaraderie at its best! It is "America's #1 College Basketball Fantasy Camp." Duke Report gives you an inside look at what goes on at the K Academy. Link below will take you to my recent article. The 2015 K Academy starts next week. And don't forget the NBA Draft is June 25th. Duke fans will want to tune in to ESPN at 7pm as we wish Okafor, Winslow, Jones, and Cook good luck in the NBA draft.
Look you have heard the saying "Duke Basketball Never Stops"! Well that's a solid statement! After Coach K won his 5th national championship, he came back to Durham and hit the ground running. Over the next few weeks of April, K ended up landing the #1 recruiting class for the 2nd year in a row. When people think of offseason, they start to think things slow down. That might be the case for the average programs ... but it's not the case for the elite. Duke is an elite basketball program. This summer will be full of recruiting, training, preparation, etc.. as the Duke Basketball program gets ready for the 2015-2016 season.
Coming up in just under 2 weeks will be the K Academy. The K Academy is "America's #1 College Basketball Fantasy Camp". I had the opportunity to attend the playoff games at the K Academy last year. It was COMRADE AT ITS BEST! Look for my article over at Duke Report www.dukereport.com next week as I give an inside look at what goes on at the K Academy. Until then you can check out my short interview (video is shaky) with former Duke player Cherokee Parks from the K Academy last year at the link below. Have a good weekend and GO DUKE! Link below will take you to an article from CBS Sports that shows that the 2015 NCAA Tourney shattered Vegas gambling records. Another CBS article (link below) shows that DUKE is a co favorite to win the 2016 National Championship. The odds from Bodova are listed below... DUKE, Kentucky , Michigan State , North Carolina -- 10/1 Maryland -- 14/1 Kansas -- 16/1 Iowa State -- 18/1 Virginia -- 18/1 Arizona -- 20/1 Gonzaga -- 20/1 Villanova -- 22/1 Indiana -- 25/1 Oklahoma -- 28/1 Louisville, Michigan, Wichita State -- 33/1 Notre Dame, Texas, Texas A&M, Utah, Wisconsin -- 40/1 Cal, Florida, LSU, Miami, Ohio State, SMU, Syracuse, UConn -- 50/1 Baylor, NC State -- 66/1 Butler, Dayton -- 75/1 Arkansas, Auburn, Cincinnati, Florida State, Georgetown, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Providence, Purdue, San Diego State, UCLA, Vanderbilt, West Virginia -- 100/1 Yes after winning the 2015 National Championship... DUKE had 3 freshman declare for the NBA draft as well as have their senior leader Quinn Cook graduate. But it's been just over 3 weeks since DUKE has cut down the nets.. and within those 3 weeks... DUKE has been able to get a top 2016 point guard to reclassify to 2015 and commit to DUKE as well as land a top recruit from the 2015 class in Brandon Ingram. Throw in a recent pick up in 3 star player Antonio Vrankovic to go along with the 5 star players in Chase Jeter and Luke Kennard who already committed to Duke.. and you have a 6 man class (don't forget about Justin Robinson...David Robinson's son) coming in to help DUKE. As has been said before... DUKE doesn't rebuild... DUKE reloads! |
