Justise Winslow... the Human Highlight reel!

Link below will take you to a Youtube video of a Justise Winslow Highlights reel while playing at Duke.  Winslow will go down as one of my top 5 favorite players of all time (even with only playing 1 year!) at Duke!  Winslow had that "It" factor the "Swag" factor that you don't see that often in players in the game.  Congrats to Justise on helping Duke win its 5th national championship and good luck in the NBA!

These are 3 pics I took at the Final Four as I was walking toward the court after Duke won the national championship.  I was able to capture a few pics of Justise Winslow celebrating with I'm assuming family.

If you follow this blog, I just want to say thanks!   I enjoy sharing my thoughts, pics, videos, and experiences of following Duke Basketball.

After coming back from Indy 3 weeks ago... I hit the ground running with working 3 jobs.  I haven't had a lot of time to look back upon what was an amazing experience.  I still have a lot of pics, videos, and an article I want to post about the Final Four experience.  So if you follow this blog... check back as I will continue to update this blog for the weeks to come with my Final Four experience as well as upcoming events.

A WEEK LATER..STILL FEELS GOOD TO BE CHAMPS!  VIDEOS FROM THE FINAL 4...

So it's just over a week after Duke won the National Championship and I'm still enjoying the moment.  I'm not going to be that guy that just moves on to next season worrying about who stays and who leaves Duke and how will next seasons team be.  I have learned over the years of following Duke Basketball that winning a National Championship is a tough..very tough thing for any team to do!   I thought the 1999 team was unbeatable.   I thought the 2002 team with Jason Williams would repeat.  I thought Redick would get a championship with the 2004 Final Four team with the help of Deng and again with the 2006 team as he and the LandLord (Sheldon Williams) were seniors.  The 2013 team was getting close till the Louisville comeback in the Elite 8.  Duke has had some early losses in the NCAA Tourney as well.

As you can see, winning a National Championship is not an easy thing to do and is not a guarantee.. look at the hype Kentucky got this season..

With all that said, I will enjoy banner #5 for a long time.  I will be excited for next season, but I want to live in the moment for a while.  And I think Duke fans should too.

Championship #5 was special as Coach K was able to win it with 3 freshman who saw a lot of starter minutes, a senior in Quinn Cook who had yet been on a team that put up a banner in Cameron, and future breakout players for Duke in Grayson Allen who helped Duke make a comeback in the Championship game.

I was able to attend the Final Four and it was the experience of a lifetime.  In the near future, I am going to do an article on my experience.  Until then, check out some of the videos below I shot at the Final Four.
One of my best videos.  I captured the player's facial expressions during One Shining Moment.

A cool moment for me was when K was leaving the media room on a golf cart.. I give him the thumbs up on winning #5 and he gives me the head nod.

Final Four Bound!!!

This past Sunday Duke pulled off the win over #2 seed in the South Gonzaga by a score of 66 to 52. It has been the Duke defense (a defense that was not that impressive earlier in the season) that has showed up big time in the NCAA Tourney. Forgotten star Matt Jones had an amazing game scoring 16 points to go along his other teammate from Texas Justise Winslow who had 16 points. Throw in 10 points for Quinn Cook and 15 points for Tyus Jones and you have a balanced scoring effort from the Blue Devils. Potential #1 NBA draft pick Jahlil Okafor had 9 points and 8 rebounds. This Duke team has shown that any guy or guys can step up that night and carry the team if needed.

Coach K looks as fired up as ever with this special group of players.   Over the years Duke has had some amazing teams and some exciting teams to watch.  This years group of players has been easily one of my top 3 teams that I have enjoyed watching play.

I will be heading out to Indianapolis Friday to work the Final Four.  Tune in here or follow  my Twitter @Skeelow22 for pics/updates from the Final Four experience!
