People asking...Skeelow where did you go? Facebook, Twitter, and text messages on blast right now with the Duke loss and I expected nothing less...but my friends I'm here..never left. You see win or lose I bleed Duke Blue through and through! :) As I scroll down the book of faces I see all the celebrations of the Duke loss. Some Duke fans get bothered by that...me I used too...but I grew out of that phase. You see if you take your precious time to post about Duke on your page that just tells me you and the masses out there are still making sure Duke matters and is relevant. For that energy you spend ...we are thankful :) it is when people stop talking and posting about Duke I will start to worry...but as we clearly can see...not happening anytime soon! hey we lost to an amazing Louisville team and Congrats to them. And may God be with Ware what a tragic injury! Congrats to Louisville on wining the National Championship! Louisville is unstoppable right now! Wichita State...lol you are not in Kansas anymore Dorothy...Louisville will be ready!

......oh yeah UNC we still swept y'all this year..I would know I had front row seats for one of the games! :) Unc fans you better pray hard you get Wiggins! Without him we will easily sweep you again next year! Duke had a good year!! and with Parker, Hood, Jones, and Semi coming on board next year...Duke will continue to give the masses something to love or hate depending on what side of the coin you are on! :)

Congrats Coach Collins!

Congrats to Coach Chris Collins on the head coaching job at Northwestern!  Watching this guy at the coaching clinics the last 5 years and on the side lines to games I have seen over the years, I can say Chris is an intense guy who knows basketball in and out!  Hey...he learned from the best...Coach K!   Northwestern is getting a great guy to come in and take over.  Gonna miss seeing him on the court next season but wish him well in his new journey.

With all the rumors floating around out there such as Capel looking at the ODU position, Paulus looking to head to Northwestern, and Duke looking at Jay Williams... it gets you thinking!    I could see Capel taking the ODU job.  I could also easily see Paulus take a step up from video coordinator  to assistant coach as well.   And hey I would love to see Jay Williams on the Duke bench!!  I think that would be HUGE for recruiting!  I just don't easily see Jay giving up that comfortable ESPN job he has to go into the stress os recruiting and being an assistant coach.  But I hope I'm wrong and Jay ends up on the Duke bench!   For now it's all rumors so we shall wait and see what happens.  But hey...we got bigger things to focus on right now...there is a big game Friday night!  GO DUKE!!!  BEAT MICHIGAN STATE!!!

"FIGHT"

We are one day away from all of the tourney madness happening. As I think about how strong will Duke start in the 1st game or what kind of lineups is Coach K going to use, or are the 3's gonna be raining this time or not, it all comes down to one word. As I walked into my Duke office I saw it. The team poster from this years team on my wall. Mickie Krzyzewski has been creating and doing an amazing job on these posters for years now. This years team poster is one of my favorites. Only one word was used as the theme for this years poster which was "fight". This team has had to "fight" all season! This team had to "fight" to get to a number one rankling this season by going through teams such as Louisville, Kentucky, and Ohio State early on. This team had to "fight" to find its identity after the Ryan Kelly injury. This team had to "fight" to pull off the sweep against UNC especially with the come back in Cameron. Yes we had the disappointing loss early in the ACC Tourney. But now, this team is gonna have to "fight" it's way through the possible 6 game season of the NCAA Tourney if they want to hang a 5th banner in Cameron. In a tourney that is win or go home you must have a "fight" mentality to win it all. As I look back at what this Duke team has accomplished this season I believe they have that "fight" in them to win it all!

Very Cool Office Pool!

Here you go! I told you I would show you one of the coolest style office pools you can do for March Madness...well...here it is. The pic above shows the spreadsheet for it. You need 16 people to do the pool. They don't have to be basketball fans as this pool is based purely on luck. Each person pays $5 to the winner of the pool. Winner wins $75 (15 losers at $5 each) Winner is whoever ends up with the National Champion pick. You take all 64 teams (the play in games count as one team) and list all the teams on small pieces of paper folded up. You put the teams in 4 hats grouped by the following...13-16 seeds in one hat, 9-12 seeds in one hat, 5-8 seeds in one hat, and 1-4 seeds in last hat. Then have somebody draw for all of your 16 players. What you end up with is each of the 16 people in your pool all get 1 of the lower (13-16) seeds, 1 of the mid lower (9-12) seeds, 1 of the mid upper (5-8) seeds, and 1of the upper (1-4) seeds. Then just put the picks on an excel or word spread sheet. The pic above shows how our picks ended up for the tourney this year. The names section of who is in pool was covered for confidentiality. This makes for a different and interesting pool as you will now have a reason to pull for some random lower seed. For example I will say I am the top member in this pool...so you will see me cheering on Montana lol to advance in the tourney. I will also cheer for Wisconsin a team I don't really care for but hey they are one of my picks. And this year I lucked out getting Louisville as one of my pics. As you can see I didn't draw Duke as one of my pics but would gladly lose this pool to see Duke hang the 5th banner! Hope you enjoyed reading and learning about this different style of office pool I have been fortunate to be a part of for years now.

Do a Google search for "March Madness on Demand"and in the top 5 links you will see a pic of me with my feet showing laid back in my recliner with my tv setup for March Madness lol! Good to see Google knowing what's up! I have now climbed from #5 link to the #2 link. Not bad considering the #1 link is the official site of MMOD.

Very cool article from Kevin Kaduk on Yahoo describing Facebook data on likes of every team in the NCAA Tourney.  As he stated..."It's clearly a Duke World"!
